Metascience and Global Scientific Cooperation
Launched in 2019 with funding from the FAPESP Advanced Schools Program, the São Paulo Innovation and Science Diplomacy School (InnSciD SP) has grown into an international forum for dialogue and cooperation in science and innovation diplomacy.
In 2026, InnSciD returns for its 8th edition with a focus on metascience — particularly its impact on democracy, governance and trust — and on global scientific cooperation. The school will be held from August 10 to 14, in person at USP.

Early- and mid-career researchers, public servants, policy professionals, and innovators working at the interface of science, technology and international affairs. Applicants from all regions are welcome — we particularly encourage candidates from the Global South.
InnSciD SP 2026 brings selected participants together in person at the University of São Paulo, with additional online sessions for remote participants.
All sessions are conducted in English, with selected workshops also offered in Portuguese.
There is no tuition fee. A limited number of mobility scholarships are offered to candidates from low- and middle-income countries.
Yes. Participants who complete all required activities receive an official certificate issued by the University of São Paulo.
